The short version: legal consumption is significantly more restricted than legal purchase. Where You CAN Consume Private residences. Your home is the most straightforward legal consumption space. Outdoor public spaces where cigarette smoking is permitted. This is the part of New York's cannabis law that surprises most people from other states.
